Petstar x Yuyuan Lantern Festival — Ready to Shine Together in Thailand!

Petstar x Yuyuan Lantern Festival — Ready to Shine Together in Thailand!

What happens when pets meet a National Intangible Cultural Heritage like the Yuyuan Lantern Festival?
Let’s turn our lens to the upcoming event —
“2025 Spirit of Mountains and Seas · Yuyuan Lantern Festival & China–Thailand Culture Month”!

From June 27 to August 15, Tianyuan Pet’s self-owned brand Petstar will join the Yuyuan Lantern Festival as it sets sail for ICONSIAM, the iconic landmark in Bangkok, Thailand.

Inspired by The Classic of Mountains and Seas — a mythical Chinese text — the festival will merge Chinese and Thai cultural elements into a fantastical lantern experience, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of China–Thailand diplomatic relations.

🌟 More than a dazzling display of lights — this is a journey of Eastern aesthetics shared by people and pets alike!

From Paris to Bangkok, follow the mythical story of "Spirit of Mountains and Seas"

When it comes to the Yuyuan Lantern Festival, one name always stands out — “The Fantasy of Mountains and Seas”, its signature cultural IP. From traditional zodiac themes to fantastical mythologies, the festival showcases the power of Chinese cultural heritage, serving as a bridge between the past and the future, between China and the world.

Since 2023, the centuries-old Yuyuan Lantern Festival has taken inspiration from The Classic of Mountains and Seas, a mythical Chinese text, and launched the IP series “The Fantasy of Mountains and Seas”. For three consecutive years, this theme has attracted nearly 4 million visitors annually during the Chinese New Year season, becoming Shanghai’s most influential folk culture event.

In December 2023, the Yuyuan Lantern Festival made its first appearance overseas, successfully held in Paris, France.

With the theme “Spirit of Mountains and Seas”, inspired by the ancient Chinese text The Classic of Mountains and Seas, the festival attracted over 200,000 local visitors. It garnered a global media reach of nearly 1.5 billion, becoming a landmark example of Chinese cultural export to the world.

Now arriving in Bangkok, Thailand, the Yuyuan Lantern Festival continues the enchanting journey of "Spirit of Mountains and Seas".

Through a stunning fusion of traditional Chinese lantern craftsmanship and modern light technology, the festival brings to life mythical creatures and exotic flora from The Classic of Mountains and Seas.

This year, the magic extends further — blending with local Thai culture and customs, the festival will transform the banks of the Chao Phraya River into a dazzling dreamscape of lights, where "Spirit of Mountains and Seas" tells a story of connection and friendship across borders.

From the mythical to the real, where distance fades — and hearts draw near.

This time, Petstar joins the Yuyuan Lantern Festival on its journey abroad to Thailand, bringing with it a fresh interpretation of Eastern aesthetics in pet lifestyle design.

By weaving together traditional Chinese elements—such as the Twenty-Four Solar Terms, landscape motifs, and Guochao-inspired design—Petstar reimagines pet products through a cultural lens.

The result is a cross-border, heart-touching cultural experience for both pets and people, created for Chinese and Thai audiences, as well as visitors from around the world.

Where tradition meets innovation, and pets become part of the cultural dialogue.
